Christian Havet at the Préau des Arts From August 8th to 14th at the Préau des Arts on Rue Toesca (across from the Archaeological Museum) Christian Havet presents his exhibition entitled « Update » from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Opening reception on Friday, the 8th at 6 p.m.

The artist explains: « This exhibition is like a suggestion of an update for everyone. Contemporary art is a reflection of our society. It must constantly « update » its languages to remain relevant in the face of digital and scientific changes, of course, but also societal, environmental, and existential ones. Constant adaptation, the need to reinvent ourselves is the very essence of our era, whose relationship with time has accelerated. The permanence of impermanence defines our contemporaneity! » During the exhibition, the artist will present « Two series of works: Transmitter: 12 small figurative gouache drawings on paper, odes to life. Let us orient what we do and think towards what is good for us and the world… Receiver: a large acrylic quadriptych on canvas, determined by the choice of the color green and movement. I consider the spontaneous and fluid movement of the painting as a metaphor for life and the need for constant change. » Photo: Christian Havet at work.
