Participatory Mural – ATRIR Respiratory Clinic – 2023
“Everyone contributes their own vibes for the common good”

Located on the first floor in a common living room, this fresco is a unique collective creation created by patients and caregivers. The participants, often elderly and with lung diseases, were invited to draw what gives them pleasure, letting their emotions and positive energy emerge.
In the center are painted two living and radiating lungs, symbol of breath and ideal vitality. Their irrigation system is connected to objects, pleasant situations and positive emotions, individually chosen and illustrating how creativity nourishes well-being and the joy of living.
Beyond the work, it is the moment of sharing and inner awakening that occurred during its realization that makes it so precious: each gesture created a bond, mutual aid for the most dependent, complicity and a true breath of joy within the clinic.

This fresco is a living testimony of the collective’s multiplying and magical strength, where breathing, creating and sharing together becomes a source of energy and happiness for all
