JULY 2025 - Contemporary art, a reflection of our society, must constantly "UPDATE" its language to remain relevant in the face of scientific, societal, environmental, and existential changes.
Constant adaptation, the need to reinvent ourselves, is the very essence of our era, whose relationship with time has accelerated. The permanence of impermanence defines our contemporaneity !
Let's observe how the constant "UPDATES" of our devices, social networks, and digital lifestyles are transforming our humanity. A tension between technological progress and human well-being is growing, far from what the Futurist manifesto advocated in 1909 and much more in line with the words of Joseph BEUYS.
At the same time, we are experiencing the collapse of the structures of our society, and what we were long led to call "normality" is turning out to be a massive collective hypnosis. The dream in which we learned to conform, to obey, is cracking, but only to rediscover what we have always been and to "reactualize" ourselves humanly in the face of dehumanization.
We are experiencing a tipping point that the soul recognizes even if the mind doubts.
What is collapsing is not life, but the walls; it is a deliverance encouraging us to reprogram our way of being, our reflexes, our values, to create a new society.
For me, contemporary Art must offer "UPDATES" of consciousness, new ways of inhabiting the world.
We are not this body, nor our name, nor our past! ... but multidimensional TRANSMITTERS-RECEIVERS and
"Art is a language for reading and giving shape to the world(s)."
SEPTEMBRE 2000 - Globalization is generating both uncontrollable situations and the levelling out of cultures. True communication, which respects the fundamental principle of the circulation of ideas, shows us that there is a blind spot in all politics and pedagogy: the inequality of human beings in the face of the knowledge that gives power. Aesthetic emotion has become more essential than ever: the artist has nothing else to do but speak the TRUTH.
- Colors, with their specific wavelengths, speak to our senses through the interface of our physiological cells, which are both microcosms... and macrocosms...
- The impact of colors on our subconscious and thoughts is real.
- There's an interaction between energy, geometric shapes and our minds.
- All religions generate the idea of a Source of love and ... Light.
- I opt for the language of light! ...
Search for :
- The enjoyment of light; play on color, geometry and the thought it induces.
- The expression or harmonization of an ephemeral, invisible mental state.
- A painting of the interiority that must be familiar to us, just as we must let go of what's deepest within us.
- The success of touching the observer without the aid of words or discursive thought.
- The goal of research must lead only to clarity of thought, not of expression, and I remain convinced that the painter's work evolves towards the elimination of all obstacles between the painter and the idea, between the idea and the viewer.
By chance, I discovered that a Mexican tribal tradition, passed down for millennia and still alive, used the properties of colors and geometric shapes to help people…
For me, the future is linked to the knowledge of light.
